Bi-weekly(ish) Releases and 0.2.2

23 Aug

Our release of 0.2 was only a week ago, but it represented a major milestone for us both from a product perspective as well as process. Not only did we get that release wrapped up, we are also are well on our way to the next big release of 0.3 - which will have even more new features that we are really excited about. Between now an then we are going to start targeting bi-weekly releases that will help us get some of the incremental improvements and bug fixes out to you guys sooner. So, our first bi-weekly update (which, I know, is happening on only one week after our last one) is here for you today. Give it a whirl and let us know what you think of it.

Features

  • Added ability to drag artists and albums within Tomahawk (to playlists, queue, etc.).

Optimizations

  • Seek & volume sliders now directly jump to the position you clicked on.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed crash when pressing previous and next when playing a song from the Queue.
  • Fixed issue where wrench for newly added resolvers would not show up immediately.
  • Fixed sidebar statistics not updating after collection scan finished.
  • Fixed omitting a few tracks in the Collection tree-view.
  • Fixed sidebar & track sorting issues.
  • (OS X) Fixed Ogg Vorbis support.

UPDATE: It looks like we introduced a bug that breaks the ability to drag and drop Spotify and Rdio links (introduced in 0.2) into Tomahawk. We are working on it and hope to have it reimplemented soon.

UPDATE 2: The Spotify and Rdio link support has been fixed/re-implemented in 0.2.3.

Enjoy!
